"Baku Gandeng" Movement

Since the first confirmed case of Covid-19 in Indonesia in March 2020, a number of measures to anticipate the spread of the Corona virus have been carried out at the regional level. A number of health posts were prepared at a number of points, along with the formation of a national to regional task force team to provide health services and control the spread of the Corona virus to strengthen the economy of affected communities.

Accordingly, a number of young Sumbanese were inspired to form a community that engages in social activities to help meet the daily needs and health of the community in each district in Sumba. These communities include Kumpul Tangan (East Sumba), Sambung Asa (Central Sumba), Sumba Barat Kita Bisa (West Sumba), and Ked'de Sumba (Southwest Sumba). Each community also seeks to provide education to the public regarding activities to maintain personal hygiene and the surrounding environment which is represented in a visual approach in the form of flyers and posters published through various social media channels, or posted and distributed in various public places, especially those that have the potential to over crowd.
